Software validation of measuring instruments
When is it necessary that WelmecLab offers you this service?
This service is destined for measuring instruments which are equipped with software permitting to administrate registers and to obtain results which guarantee health, safety and integrity with their commercial transactions.
Our public Administrations regulate the application of metrology legislation on national level (RD 889/2006) and international (MID directive) level, as well as the frequency and type of controls which the instruments need to persist during their design and development phase, during commercialisation and during their service life.
Applying this guide, the manufacturer, the importer or distributer of a measuring instrument can assume the conformity with the MID requisites regarding the instrument's software. Additionally, he can be sure that - regarding the software, all notifying bodies accept this guide as accurate interpretation of the MID.
